Adept at ensuring pedestrian safety and demonstrating problem-solving prowess, I significantly enhanced crossing efficiency at Crossing Guards LLC. My adaptability and effective communication fostered positive community relationships, while my proficiency in [Language] and critical thinking skills ensured the safe passage of students in various conditions.
And while being a crossing guard might not prepare me too much for voice work, I feel my hobby/side-gig, as well as my acting in school, does. It's not a job in the traditional sense, but I am part of an acting troupe that used to perform scripted shows at renaissance fairs. We later switched to armored sparring. Before this group, I was in school plays, chorus, and band throughout elementary, middle, and high school. In college, I had a couple of classes where I specifically did voice-over work for video projects. I both provided the narrations, and edited the audio into the videos.
In the course of getting my BA, I won 2nd place in my capstone, and took best imagery in an art show put together by art department faculty for art students of Central Connecticut State. Since graduating, I won first place for an oil pastel portrait I made, and placed 3rd and above for four other pieces at the Harwinton Fair's art show exhibit. Through my acting group, I was involved as an extra in the recent indie film, Cedric and Alyssia.
