  • Process, verify, and complete military pay transactions for supporting military personnel in the East Region. Duties consist of hiring, terminations, compensation, benefits, separations, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
  • Provide customer service in a full range of Active Duty Military, Reserve Duty Military and DOD Civilian personnel support activities. Such services as Pay and personnel support, input Fitness Reports, manage, monitor coordinate and provide regulatory guidance of Military personnel actions.
  • Gather and analyze Human Resource (HR) facts to provide recommendations. Provide HR functional support to higher level specialists and supervisors.
  • Serve as liaison and advisor for classification and position management actions for members and employee relations, training and development, and member benefit actions. Complete, review reports, analyze and identify deficiencies and discrepancies in member's files and folders to determine accuracy.
  • Support Education and Training needs by administering facility, supplies and equipment. Able to type 80 words per minute. Input awards and other actions in Members file. Create extension contracts for service member.
  • Utilize human resources information systems (HRIS) such as Navy's Transaction Online Processing System (TOPS) to capture information. I distribute work to the other Human Resources Assistants in the section, including Personnel Support Detachments that are located in West and East Region.
  • Close out service member work orders. Utilize HR information systems, such as; Navy's Standard Integrated Personnel System (NSIPS) which is the Navy's single, field-entry, electronic pay and personnel system for all USN/USNR Sailors. Other duties as assigned.
  • Utilize MMPA (Master Military Pay Account) and TRIM (Total Records Information Management) to verify and process service members pay entitlements.
  • Experienced answering requests and providing advice to employees, supervisors and staff on pay related rules, regulations and procedures
