My ultimate professional aspiration is to become a Sports Psychologist. I am deeply committed to assisting athletes who have experienced a concussion, injury, or changes in their career, and providing them with the tools they need to thrive. After obtaining my bachelor's degree in Victim Studies from Sam Houston State University, I began to ponder the plight of those who lack natural advocates. Having grown up with a sports background and played sports in high school, I am well aware of the plethora of injuries that can shatter one's future. Pursuing this Master's degree will equip me with the knowledge and expertise necessary to succeed in the sports industry and enhance my understanding of the human body. I intend to complete this program in conjunction with specialized counseling QPR training, certification as a Trauma Professional (CTP), and much more. My research goal is to advance concussion victim recovery and investigate the impact of being part of a winning team on the brain, as well as the effects of team burnout on individuals.
