I am currently a “binner”. This includes stocking two tuggers with needed parts that goes to each assembly line every 30 minutes. Parts range from metal brackets, small screws, motherboards, and all other components needed to make a drinking fountain.

This job is only a temporary role until mid october as they are shutting down a facility of theirs and need help while employees transition to the remaining 2 facilities.

• My position was Operator 2, I built and tested clippers, shavers, and other small components. Using hand drills, soldering irons, and voltage and rpm tester I assembled very small parts requiring attention to detail testing and inspecting every part, and speed to make the hourly rate. I was often on an assembly line with 2-3 people, but sometimes alone or more than 3 people. Often times we were sent to other departments to fill in, so I also have experience in stacking/palletizing and packing.
• I also spent about a year as a Material Handler and backup before closing of second shift on most departments. I was responsible for stocking all lines, and using the RF gun to transfer incoming and outgoing finished products and parts, managing order sheets giving them to the assembly lines as needed, and manage inventory of parts and components in the department. This role also included many smaller jobs such as wrapping completed pallets, taking them to the shipping area or appropriate departments, cleaning, and taking waste and cardboard bins out.

As a stocker I was responsible for stocking, cleaning, and organizing the store. This included unloading incoming trucks, and taking items from pallets to the floor keeping back stock organized in the back, removing empty boxes and making cardboard bales. At night, I cleaned the aisles and bathrooms, took out garbage, and cleaned floors with push broom, floor machine and wax machine.

For my last 6 months of this job I was promoted to keyholder. This role included managing cashiers and office paperwork while management is gone, ensuring stockers and cashiers stay on task, taking cooler temperatures and the other nightly tasks I had as a stocker. I also closed down the store and locked and set the alarm at closing time.
