• At NIWC, our work was varied, and we support acquisition programs across the Navy and Department of Defense, so I have outlined a small selection of my projects:
• Defense Health Agency - Directed a division responsible for all program software development, sustainment, training, and deployment for Joint Operational Medicine Program Office. We worked across multiple programs, partners, and companies to deliver modernized healthcare IT solutions. We advised senior executives on solutions architecture and how to navigate cybersecurity, development, and testing within the DoD
  acquisition process—delivered successful cloud migrations to Azure and AWS.
  •Navy Personnel and Pay- Worked as technical lead for Navy's Personnel and Pay Systems legacy modernization program. Led a team to manage technical architecture and implement legacy deprecation design patterns (Strangler Fig primarily) to facilitate modernization and transformation efforts. We advised senior leaders on best practices and guided solutions architecture decisions across the enterprise.
  • Research and Development- Directed a research and development org to architect, design, and prototype micro service-oriented, cloud-native applications capable of functioning in austere communications environments. Our work was adopted to model production-ready programs across the HR systems acquisition
  community.

Directed the Systems Integration division of the Engineering branch, leading a 50 person team of developers and testers to integrate software updates into the enterprise baseline.
• Oversaw all elements of the software development life cycle for the Theater Medical Information Systems Integration Product Line, leveraging agile methodologies wherever feasible.
•Managed cost, schedule, system performance, risks, and issues throughout the product acquisition lifecycle.
