Devorah Burstyn

• I design and lead school wide programs such as: monthly Rosh Chodesh assemblies, Chessed Program, Mishmeres Program, school trips, Shabbaton, fundraising initiatives, Sefira program, yemei iyun, etc.
• I have created a robust extracurricular curriculum focused on the students' social and emotional development.
• Eighth grade Chumash teacher - I focus on building the students skills in understanding Rashi's questions and answers. I also provide a solid introduction to learning many different meforshim.
• Social studies teacher - I teach a combination course, joining world history and history. This gives the girls a clear picture of where the yidden were during major world history events and the effects Klal Yisroel had on the development of the world we know today.
• Math teacher - I developed the math curriculum in the school to ensure the students have a solid foundation in mathematic concepts and are ready for high school mathematics. I have taught honors, regular track and remedial mathematics classes.
• Throughout my years working in Aderes, I have taught Navi, computers, and other subjects. I have been involved in helping to develop the curriculum of the school.

I am a certified Kriah and reading specialist. My education and experience in this field has given me insight into how many children are under enormous pressure to maintain the facade of knowing how to read.

I ran a home based playgroup to help support my family while staying home with my children.

I taught an array of Limudei Kodesh subjects to all levels of high school.

I taught Historia to high school students. Bnos Bais Yaakov was in its early years and I was involved in many extracurricular activities as well.

I taught Chumash to eighth grade students, with a strong emphasis on understanding Rashi's question.

I taught general studies to the third grade.
