  • Defined a Comprehensive AWS Tagging Strategy. This objective aims to provide business stakeholders with a clear understanding of the services currently in use, those that are not in use, potential cost reduction opportunities, the relationships between AWS services that support applications, and cost indicators for future applications utilizing similar resources.
  • Designed and implemented data analytics platforms, such as AWS QuickSight. This initiative significantly enhanced the Revenue Cycle Management department's capacity to prioritize claims based on timely filing deadlines and related revenue.
  • Defined a comprehensive strategy for the Enterprise Escalation Process Methodology using tools such as PagerDuty and Jira Management Service OpsGenie. The objective of this process is to serve as a connector that enhances various processes, policies, Root Cause Analysis, and SOX-required regulations. Ultimately, this approach aims to provide the business with the necessary metrics to make informed decisions that address the most impactful issues.
  • Defined an AWS right-sizing strategy in alignment with AWS best practices. Following the implementation of the new right-sizing recommendations based on AWS CloudWatch utilization metrics, the IT department achieved a month-over-month cost reduction of 40%.
  • I spearheaded our AWS Disaster Recovery initiative to ensure the recoverability of all business data and systems in the event of a regional outage. This involved collaborating with stakeholders to determine the acceptable level of data loss (Recovery Point Objective, or RPO) that the business would consider permissible during a disaster situation.
  • Implemented Agile methodologies and a Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) truck-base development tool this includes the Concourse application to enhance team collaboration, reduce deployment failure rates, and equip the escalation triage team with information that improves resolution times during escalation events using tools including Jira COMPASS, and GitHub
  • Collaborated effectively with vendor support, developers, and the operations team to ensure that problem statements are clearly understood before any work is initiated. This approach ensures that all teams involved have a shared understanding of what constitutes success and the potential impact if issues are not addressed.
  • Identifyed the core challenge requiring resolution through the Problem Statement methodology. Which results to a comprehensive understanding of "Who Is Impacted," "What We Aim to Achieve," and "What the Consequences Will Be If the Issue Remains Unresolved.
  • Conducted the quarterly review of SOX requirements, ensuring adherence to best practices regarding the separation of duties and least privilege principles from a Change Advisory Board perspective.
