Operational planning for emergency events, interagency coordinating, and direct response efforts in times of disaster for my agency. This includes deploying to other regions throughout New York State to assist other regional emergency management staff with ICS support. Managing and responding to transportation infrastructure situations during unplanned weather incidents such as winter weather experience, hurricanes, and tidal impact events. Develop and implement training solutions for employees on emergency management systems including tabletop exercises on programs such as Continuity of Operations, RSDA II (Roadway Safety Data Analysis) and the New York Responds application. Assist in the establishment of a sUAS program for my department on the statewide level, including the development and implementation of tactics and procedures for a self sufficient operational team to be successful. Fulfill ICS roles as needed for my department, as well as on a unified command basis. Coordinate logistics and personnel for various events, including the deployment of interagency resources to other regions throughout New York State.

Train and certify employees in the safe and efficient operation of heavy motor equipment, as well as instruct and follow up-to-date department policies and procedures. This includes course development, scheduling, and the tracking of course progression. Presenting courses and procedures to an audience ranging from 1, to over 50 personnel. Assessing individual student progress, frequently checking in with struggling students and identifying root causes of problems to be addressed for the successful certification process to be met for each employee. My duties also involve assisting in emergency management operations. During the event of a natural disaster, or a State of Emergency, I am tasked with the coordination of department personnel, as well as fleet equipment itself, to help aid in relief efforts. With a working knowledge of NYR, I have performed roles for my current departments logistical operations, such as staging area coordination, distribution of resources, and data collection of all relevant information for after action review and processing. Prior to this title, I started my career as Highway Maintenance Worker I/II with NYSDOT (03/2013 – 04/2017) My duties included the safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment, fill in as acting supervisor when an immediate supervisor was not present. Assist in setting up safety equipment, and providing support for emergency events, such as; Hurricanes, blizzards, flooding events, and other disasters.
