Certificate of Market Garden and Food Production - Obtained by participating in environmental nonprofit IDEAS For Us' workshop at Meacham Urban Farm in Tampa, Fl and getting hands on experience in regenerative food systems and the way in which they can support the local community.


Projects

USF Herb Garden

  • Helped plan and carry out the implementation of a brand new edible herb garden at the University of South Florida's Botanical Gardens in the Spring of 2023.
  • Helped oversee the entirety of the proposal and preparation of the plot of land through to the sowing and maintenance of the garden itself.
  • Through the summer of 2023, I was part of a smaller group that sowed a new crop of Sweet potatoes for a summer harvest, along with other summer crops that would serve as an educational cornerstone for food production capabilities during Florida summers.
  • Along with the planting of new crops, we planted cover crops with the sole purpose of increasing fertility in the soil to increase the potential of future generations of USF students interested in regenerative agriculture.
