Research

The thesis is titled Optimal Power Flow Management Strategies for AC Microgrid Using Soft Computing Techniques. A hybrid optimization algorithm called the Tangent Golden Flower Optimization Algorithm is applied to power network reconfiguration problems with bi-objectives such as real power loss minimization and loadability maximization. In all instances, the tie switch combinations are analyzed. Energy storage systems are taken into account. Its scheduling is performed based on Peak load shaving. Both single-objective and bi-objective problems are designed.

Knowledge Summary

Well-versed with Power System planning, such as Economic Load Dispatch (ELD) during PG studies. Performed contingency analysis by considering different outage conditions such as line and bus outages. Reviewed several state estimation problems through the weighted least square and absolute value methods. Fault detection and relay coordination play major roles in areas of protection. Drawn transmission design in AutoCAD software. Taught load flow analysis methods such as Gauss-Seidel method, Newton Raphson method and Fast Decoupled Load Flow analysis for Engineering students both in theoretical and simulation manner, observed Energy management studies for load balancing in research analysis.
