Motivated student with small age classroom experience seeking opportunity to further along my familiarity in educational settings. I have been able to connect with my coworkers, students, and even parents during my time as a daycare teacher. I can handle tasks with minimal oversight and I enjoy taking care of little ones and doing my best to educate them whether it is a standard development we are learning or a curious thought we want to explore. Caring for kids is truly my passion and I would love to begin working with children with special needs as one day I aspire to build a career bonding and educating children who are extra special! I am prepared for any challenges I may face and look forward for the opportunities that are out there!
During my two years working at Calvary Kids Preschool I had the responsibilities of caring for a class count of eleven two year olds single-handedly. We strictly followed a schedule in order to remain structured. This included welcoming children to class in the morning, creating centers during free play, providing snacks twice a day, walking my two year olds to and from the outdoor play park, bringing class inside and providing them with water while I cleaned them up and allowed for them to cool down. After, I created art projects and assisted children if needed, we would then wind down with story time which allowed for class to prepare for their upcoming naptime. For nap time, I would lay down each child with their mat and blanket and if a child had trouble sleeping, I of course would pat their backs until they achieved restfulness. After their two hour nap period, I woke them up, fed and changed diapers, and were able to play outside and have movie time until parents picked up their little ones one by one. During my whole day there is constant cleaning and diaper changes to ensure my Two's are in a safe, comfy, and clean environment.
I am DCF certified and also CPR certified.
