I worked as Dr Svensson's primary nurse for his OB/GYN clinic. I conducted thorough patient assessments, scheduled follow up testing as ordered, completed education as needed to the patients and guided them through their OB experience to provide a positive comfortable OB journey. I set up surgeries and provided preop education for the Gynecological patients as ordered. I managed scheduling of his clinic and any other task needed.

I worked in Lake City in the Obstetrics unit and helped on Medical Surgical unit and ER as needed. I assessed and implemented the routine orders as written by the Primary Care doctors. I assisted with labor and delivery process and assisted the newborn upon arrival. I educated the parents on newborn and self care. I helped prepare them for care of themselves and newborn upon discharge. I assisted on Medical surgical floor as needed and helped in ER if a Trauma or code arrived.

It included everything from scheduling the nurse managers, to quality improvement, and safety monitoring to assisting with family and patient complaints. It was a great learning opportunity for me.
