• Evaluate the speech/language skills of students using a variety of both formal and informal assessment tools; serve as the lead SLP assessor on the district’s transdisciplinary preschool assessment team
• Provide speech/language services for preschool students in both individual and group therapy settings; Plan and deliver weekly classroom centers in ESN preschool classrooms as appropriate; provide push-in classroom instruction to students in preschool inclusion classrooms
• Develop and implement IEP goals; participate in IEP meetings and family-teacher progress conference meetings
• Program students’ AAC devices; train staff members and families on appropriate modeling and implementation of both high-tech and low-tech AAC tools/strategies
• Plan, develop, and deliver twice-yearly staff trainings on various topics (e.g., research-based language facilitation strategies, inclusive practices, writing legally-compliant IEPs, etc.)
• Serve as the district’s DRDP Trainer of Trainers
• Served as a member of the CDE’s DRDP Structured Prompts Development Group and related committees/task forces
• Mentor and coach new staff members on best practices in early childhood education, data-collection methods, IEP development, etc.
• Developed a year-long preschool speech/language curriculum to aid gen ed and special ed teachers in ensuring developmentally-appropriate acquisition of communication skills across all students on campus (curriculum aligned to current CA Preschool/TK Learning Foundations)

Contracted into Chula Vista Elementary School District (full-time)

• Managed a caseload of 65+ K-6 grade students, including 4 SDC classrooms
• Evaluated the speech/language capabilities of students using both formative and summative assessment tools, with a particular focus on the use of culturally-sensitive assessment methods
• Developed and implemented IEP and ISP goals; participated in IEP meetings, SST meetings, Student Success Days

Evaluated and treated both children and adults with various speech/language needs (e.g., vocal fold paralysis, post-stroke aphasia, dyslexia, etc.) in a private clinic setting (per diem)
