Trained in Supply chain demands and Mission Critical readiness. Tasked with processing all base level orders for everything from office supplies to mission critical aircraft components.

Crossed trained in fuels (POS) which entailed learning to drive an R-5 tanker on the flight line to refuel fighter jets. If I am being honest it was one of the coolest jobs on earth at the time.

My motherhood journey had me learning things that most do not.

My first child died of Anencephally and if you don't know what that is, don't worry, neither did I at the time. She was born without a brain and most of her skull. She died the day she was born.

My second child was born with Lypomylomenigocele, which is a tumor originating in the spinal column and growing outwards. It destroys the nerve bundle where it is located. It also causes several brain deformities requiring excessive quantities of surgical intervention.

I learned to read MRI's and speak to Neuro, Orthopedic and General Surgeons as an equal. I made it my mission in life to be his best advocate and that meant educating myself on every cutting edge treatment and conversing with doctors from around the country.

In 2001, I became a single mother to three children, one of which would require 52 significant surgeries and another would be diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome.

Even though we lived in poverty, my children reached all the milestones of the more affluent children in their school including honors classes, music and National Honor Society. Graduating with honors two of my children went onto college and graduated. Two of my children sang for a President of the United States on two different occasions.

All of my children live independent successful lives.
