I've been providing occasional child care for a few years now as needed by parents. I worked as a dog walker for nearly six months before determining I wanted to pursue CNA training. Even though I enjoyed taking care of animals, I wanted to do something that would prepare me for a career in nursing. I discussed this with my boss and we decided that I would no longer walk dogs in order to concentrate on college coursework and my CNA course. During my CNA training, my desire to work in a field that helped others became even more apparent. Providing comfort to people's loved ones was my favorite part of working in a clinical setting. Although some days were more difficult than others, the work I did fulfilled me.
