Assist with planning, implementation and evaluation of the MAP Activities, including recommending and preparing plans to implement program changes as deemed appropriate.  Communicates with officials of the Department of Human Services, officials of other state agencies, public and private entities, providers and MAP members to answer questions, explain MAP procedures and assist in the resolution of common problems. Works closely with MAP Screening and Enrollment agents to ensure providers are in compliance with federal CMS standards.   Processes invoice for payment to vendors. Writes, coordinates and manages the routing of vendor contracts for the MAP section. Produces analytical   reports as requested.  Manages Human Resource actions/responsibilities for the unit.  Interacts with the Centers for Medicaid Services to carry out projects, federal guidelines and plans for the territory.

Managed the Operational Support Services Unit for the Division of Medical Quality Assurance.  I managed the Purchasing and Contracts team (consisted of 8 staff), Clerk's Office (consisted of 4 staff), Public Records and  Document Control Team (consisted of 7 staff) for the Division.  The Contracts and Purchasing team handled all of  the  procurements, purchasing, contracts and agreements for the Division.  I assisted in training new staff in data  bases for MFMP, FACTS, FLAIR, etc.  I approved all FLAIR, PCard (credit cards) charges, Purchase Orders,  Invoice payments, etc. for the entire Division. The contracts team writes and monitors all contracts for the  Division.  I handled 3 of the largest division contracts personally. I was responsible for updating and/or writing division policies for Contracts and Purchasing Requirements.  I  revised processes and created desk guides for the purchasing and contracts team.  Responsible for the Public Records team who process and fills all public records and media request, in accordance with Statutes and Law.  Responsible for the Reporting Team who reports all disciplinary actions taken by the department on licensed practitioners to the National Practitioner Data Bank.  Responsible for the Clerk's Office who process all of the board actions for the Division.  I managed the day to day operations of the unit.  I was involved in hiring, evaluating and termination processes.  I was delegated back up for the Bureau Chief for the Bureau of Operations during her absence from the office, which manages over 100 staff.

ensured fairness and equitable treatment of staff in recommending disciplinary actions and the hiring process. Write and developed policies and procedures for the unit.  Prepared Unit Performance Measures for the unit and tracked them monthly.  Prepared graphs and data for monthly hospital review.  Developed Corrective Action Plans for areas that were not within the performance measure goals.  Compiled data and analyzed for administrative decisions for Food Service and Florida State Hospital Administrators.  Meet with employees and supervisor's to investigate employee complaints.  Prepared findings report including recommendations to the Hospital

Worked as an advocate in the Resident Advocacy Office at Florida State Hospital.  I received calls from residents who live at the hospital, reporting abuse, neglect, unfair treatment, etc.  I would gather the details of the complaint, send to appropriate Unit Director for investigating.  Cases that came back with indicators, would be referred to the Florida Abuse Investigation Unit for further investigations.  I would follow these cases through the final findings.  I would recommend appropriate disciplinary actions to the Hospital Administrator of findings of neglect, abuse, etc. on the employees part.  I would schedule meetings between the investigators and Hospital Administrators to determine appropriate steps of action to ensure the safety of the residents.  Interacted with the Advocacy Center of Tallahassee regarding resident issues.  After investigations were closed, I wrote responses to complaints/issues and prepared memos for the Hospital Administrator's signature.  Researched incidents and responded to the Advocacy Center on reported allegations.  Advertised vacant positions for the Administration Unit.  Trained all hospital staff annually on "Sensitivity Training".  Typed all hospital policies that pertained to the Resident Advocacy Office.  Gathered and obtained numerous types of monthly from the compliant data base and analyzed information making graphs for the hospital's performance measuring system.
