Summary

I have over 30 years of K-5 elementary teaching experience in Title I and Title III schools, in Palmdale, CA. My passion is teaching English Learners, which inspired me to pursue a Language Development Specialist credential. I have worked at Dual Immersion schools for 12 years, teaching 4th grade in a 50/50 English/Spanish program. During that time, our grade level consistently had the highest test scores for reading and math in the district. I was also able to master the demands of the program's challenging schedule and record keeping. After retiring in 2023, I moved to Tennessee to be closer to family. I miss teaching however, and wish to be back in the classroom doing what I love. I am now seeking a teaching position where I can use my skills to help students develop and grow.
