Hobbies

I enjoy many hobbies with the first oe being crochet.   Crocheting not only helps me unwind after a busy day but I am able to create useful items like hats and scarves, stuffed animals and much more. One of my newest favorite projects is making themed hats each year as a Christmas gift for my adult children and grandchild.

I also taught myself how to make chain maille jewelry,  create beads from paper,  cross stitch.  I also taught myself how to do latch hook with  my left hand so that I could teach my mom how to latch hook.

I also collect old books that provide instruction in a wide variety of topics from woodworking to paper crafting.

Additional work experiences include preschool teacher with Head Start, English as a Second Language long term substitute and Vocational Instructor for Tenco Industries all in Ottumwa.
