
I am currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Psychology at Rutgers University, enhancing my problem-solving and management capabilities. As a college student, I am seeking a part-time seasonal job to develop my skills further and become more well-rounded. I enjoy helping people and making a difference in their lives. I was a diligent gymnastics instructor with 2 years of experience coaching and developing students, demonstrating strong skills in a supportive environment. I have a proven ability to implement safety regulations and adapt teaching methods to individual needs, encouraging growth and motivation. Additionally, I have strong communication and organizational skills, complemented by a background in childcare and leadership as an assistant coach. I also worked as a filing clerk in the Law Office of Gustavo Fuentes, and later as an assistant, greeting clients, meeting customer needs, building customer service skills, and opening and closing files. I am also currently gaining experience in customer service and time management as a sales associate at a Vans retail store.
In this position, I can provide excellent customer service and meet the needs of all customers, to make an outstanding shopping experience for everyone who walks into the store. To further ensure the customer experience, I will help anyone with questions or issues in the store. Not only this, but I can also upsell and add complementary products to meet store goals and drive sales, and effectively promote deals and sales to all customers within the store. I also demonstrated effective time management and multitasking during high-busy periods in the store. Overall, this position has been building my customer experience and my multitasking experience.
As a gymnastics coach, I was able to instruct students in many proper techniques and various skills, including tumbling, vaulting, balance beam, and bars. I also provided individual coaching to help students improve their form, strength, flexibility, endurance, and achievement, while also implementing safety rules and ensuring equipment was properly maintained in order to prevent any accidents or injuries during training or recreational classes. Not only that, I spoke with parents and addressed any concerns or questions they had about their child's progress or participation in the recreational gym. Along with this, I also guided students through their struggles and helped them reach where they wanted to be in their journey. I demonstrated proper spotting techniques when necessary to ensure students' safety while attempting new skills, which ultimately helped in the long run. In this job, I built many connections with students and their parents.
As an assistant coach, I supported the central coach in leading classes of 8-9 students, contributing to skill development and progress tracking. I helped organize and plan training sessions to ensuring a positive environment. I also coached the gymnastics team after recreational classes, encouraging teamwork and discipline. I also always greeted the students with a friendly attitude, along with their parents, creating a welcoming atmosphere for everyone. This experience strengthened my teamwork and communication skills, and I enjoyed making a positive impact on students' growth and confidence.
Although short on this job, I was filing paperwork and essential documents related to immigration. I greeted clients and assisted them to their designated appointment with a Paralegal. I also organized the office's paperwork and documents. This experience provided a feeling of what a law office will feel like in the future. Overall, I enjoyed working here and developed organizational skills and proper filing techniques.
