Pole Vault Coach
3 Years 4 Months- Outlined team duties and expectations. Coached middle school and high school male and female pole vaulters. Planned and led practices focused on skill development and technique. Provided individualized instruction and feedback to athletes of varying skill levels while maintaining a positive and supportive environment. Communicated with athletes, parents, and fellow coaches to promote growth both on the runway and in everyday life. This experience enhanced my ability to effectively educate and motivate diverse groups of people to complete tasks and achieve goals.
Chiropractor Scribe
4 Months- Outlined and managed team tasks and objectives. Assisted 2 chiropractors with their SOAP notes to keep them on schedule for upcoming patient appointments. Supported healthcare operations by maintaining supplies, organization, and cleanliness of the room. Gained exposure to complex diagnoses pertaining to the central nervous system. This experience strengthened my professional and communication skills, as well as my intellectual knowledge of the central nervous system.
Physical Therapist Technician
2 Months- Outlined duties and tasks for various projects. Assisted patients with their exercise plan who were recovering from injury, surgery, and other musculoskeletal conditions. Supported therapists by preparing treatment areas, guiding patients through their rehabilitation plans, and maintaining clinic efficiency. Built meaningful relationships with patients throughout their rehabilitation process, collaborating closely with physical therapists and physical therapy assistants to support individualized treatment plans. This experience strengthened my teamwork and patient-care skills.
Intern
3 Months- Responsibilities: Assisted physical and occupational therapists with patient and family support, rehabilitation tasks, and maintaining a clean and organized therapy environment. Collaborated with therapists to develop creative and engaging play activities that encouraged participation in children's individualized treatment plans. This experience strengthened my teamwork and empathy skills while providing valuable exposure to patient-centered care and a variety of developmental diagnoses.
Preschool Sunday School Leader
8 Years 11 Months- Responsibilities: Volunteered 2 Sundays a month as a 3-year-old assistant teacher for 6 years, and as a 2-year-old lead teacher for 3 years, averaging 5 to 10 children each Sunday. Led faith-based educational lessons through age-appropriate interactive activities and videos. Collaborated with both the parents and other volunteers to support faith growth. This experience strengthened my leadership skills and taught me to effectively engage and support these toddlers' diverse needs and learning styles.
Uncertified Nursing Assistant
2 Months- Responsibilities: Assisted patients with transfers and daily living activities, documented patient status, communicated changes in condition to nursing staff to ensure timely care. Provided direct care to 10 to 15 residents per shift, addressing physical and emotional needs while enhancing communication skills. Collaborated with nurses and therapists to coordinate patient care, contributing to improved resident well-being.
Independent Childcare Worker
2 Months- Responsibilities: Delivered childcare 6 hours a day, 3 days a week for children aged 5 and 10, fostering a safe and engaging environment. Ensured children's safety and well-being during daily activities. Supported meal preparation, entertainment, and transportation, ensuring a structured and nurturing atmosphere for children's development.
