• Travel assignment, more than one assignment after extending the first assignment to 21 weeks. Followed later by CNO calling me and asking if i would be an independent contractor and just be available as second nurse for all deliveries. Worked 7 days, 7 off during this assignment.
• Collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans for patients.
• Managed labor and delivery processes to ensure optimal patient care and safety.
• Educated expectant mothers on labor process and postpartum recovery.
• Provided emotional support and guidance to new mothers and families during labor, delivery and postpartum.
• Responded to emergency situations such as pre-eclampsia, early labor, and fetal distress.
• Assisted physician during delivery, examination and surgical procedures by anticipating needs, encouraging patient, and attending to baby after birth.

This was a travel assignment. Loved the hospital. Ended up getting floated to postpartum more than L&D but really enjoyed my time here.

OB Navigator-Met with patients prior to their scheduled induction or anticipated due date to orient patient and partner to the unit, sign consents and answer any and all questions they had. Then gave them a tour of the unit.

Multiple travel assignments throughout Washington, California, Colorado and Illinois. Thoroughly enjoyed this experience and met some amazing people. Learned a lot and some of my favorite times as a nurse.

Busy L&D, I did triage, labor as well as antepartum. Also ended up transferring t postpartum for almost a year before leaving to start travel nursing.

Very big teaching hospital. Had a great triage unit, six beds, ran by residents and two RN's.

Worked as labor nurse, triage, OR circulator. Also floated to 22 bed Antepartum unit when needed.

This is where I learned labor and delivery. Another busy teaching hospital. Triage, Labor RN, OB Circulator, Antepartum and would sometimes float to NICU to care just to do VS's and feeds.

Loved this place and was taught by a very tenured staff.
