  • Joined to help WV Facility conform to Michigan GM Tier 1 Requirements with Quality in Injection Molding MFG, Welding, Plastic Manifold Assembly and Warranty Issues.
  • DOE to understand Warranty issue's on Manifold, found issue first day spent 2-3 weeks proving it with analysis of data. Put temporary corrective action in place with metal shims, permanent tool upgrades made soon after, put push out inspection in place to verify product Quality going forward with Capability.
  • Run return Warranty parts through the EOL tester for Leak Test Results, or EOL without Leak Check depending on issue before tear down.
  • Tear down warranty parts to confirm issues dating back 2021-2024, approximately 342 and counting with another 300 pending arrival from Customer Locations & Dealers.
  • Control Plan Creation for Honda & GM products, including internal Inspection documents and product process inspection documents.
  • Quality Alerts for Injection Molding Issues, Scrap reviews, Hold Cage Reviews.
  • Supplier PPAP review & Approval including IMDS submission.
  • Customer Quality Liaison for weekly PDT Meetings & Customer required SPCR Supplied Product changes, moves & PPAP., Customer PPAP in SQMS for GM.

  • HDS Corp hired me due to having 60 PPAP's rejected not approved by GM, due to Performance Validation incomplete or not done, Warranty Issues, Dimensional Data Analysis (out of Spec), Incomplete Corrosion Salt Spray hours, Material Chemistry out of Specification etc. Out of 60 PPAP's all are approved.
  • Since I am the only Quality Engineer, I review all Level 3 PPAP's for GM & Ford before they can be submitted by the Coordinators to Customers, due to shortage of staff I also submit PPAP's to both Customers. I also kick any incomplete PPAP's back to the Suppliers to complete any missing or Incomplete Performance Validation, review all Dimensional Data to the Print for conformance, review all Validation Specifications to the results and Material Chemistry to the Specification.
  • Im also reviewing Purchase Orders to ensure they cover the Full requirements and the Specifications and Test requirements are noted.
  • Meeting with GM weekly via Teams to review Hot Parts due to the 60 parts were on stop ship for service until I started getting them complete and approved.
  • Working with the Suppliers to help them understand the Specifications and how I know when they really didn't perform a test.
  • Convinced HDS to purchase a Finish Coating thickness inspection device instead of paying $14,000.00 to a lab due to knowing what the Coating Finish Thickness is decides the length of time in Corrosion testing and if, will pass. Ive found many other issues being able to check this myself.
