To win cheer competition awards I learned new routines by breaking the choreography into small, manageable sections based on counts . We repeated these segments to build muscle memory, practice with music, and rely on mental visualization to solidify transitions and sequences. I also learned stunts by following strict progressions: master basic conditioning and foundational arm motions, practice the three distinct stunt roles (base, flyer, and back spot), and advance from low-level drills to airborne maneuvers—all while building intense trust and timing through strict verbal counts.
