- Studied how the presence of a Self Containing Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) influence air gap differences within female and male firefighter turnout suits by using a Size Stream SS20 body scanner to find body measurements. From here how this affect heat transfer between environment and individual, and how it accounts for physical performance on the field. Results show there to be a difference in air gaps mainly in the anterior part of the body; still analyzing the effects of it. Project has been presented at research conferences; still in progress.
