Ingredient risk assessment: Responsible for evaluating risk associated with chemical, microbiological, and physical hazards in ingredients that are used in in LatAm sector and in FLNA, PBNA, and QFNA bussines units.

  • Supplier alignment: work with vendors to ensure food safety by evaluating allergen declarations and programs in place to prevent cross-contact, cleaning verification and validations, food safety plan (HACCP), microbiological parameters and methods, and inactivation/sanitization treatments applied to the ingredient.
  • System management: capture food safety ingredient assessment and approve supplier questionnaires in PV (FSS and PQP). Build microbiological spec under MRT requirements and populate allergen properties and ingredient classification of the specification.


Food Safety intelligence: identify and address food safety risks associated with supply chain, regulations and food fraud linked to external alerts, incidents and crisis within food industry for all PepsiCo products to reduce the impact of the threat to the business.


SONAR: extract the Material Hazard Database in order to upload it to DM system and support QC partners in the manufacturing plants.


Food Safety News Letters: creation of food safety newsletters to raise awareness of the recall of PepsiCo products or ingredients that may be supplied to PepsiCo


Audit of Mexico R&D Tech Center Pilot Plant: Collaborated with PD, pilot plant staff and FSQA team to identify and address food safety gaps under the AIB certification program.
