- Conducts backcountry field surveys to identify, eradicate, document, and map noxious weed infestations.

- Regularly acted as the mapping and survey member which included tracing and mapping out where we would be spraying, marking where we have sprayed and how much herbicide was used and from what instrument.

- Regularly acted as the note-taker which included capturing notes in an accurate and logical manner, formatting notes

- for distribution and filing, and making updates as requested.

  • Duties consisted of working as part of the Hazard tree removal and trail rehabilitation crew for AMA diversified Construction group.
  • Job consisted of clearing up to 6 acres area at the Coyote Valley Dam in Ukiah California at Lake Mendocino all area damaged during a wild fire that took place earlier in the year.
  • worked around heavy equipment, excavators, brusher's, chippers and skidsters.
  • worked with various hand tools and chainsaws, duties were to clean and cut down all trees, limbed then chipped or cut into logs for campers use.
  • crew cleared a path approx. 5' wide and 3miles long, all work was done using hand tools, picks, shovels, pulaskis, and McCloud hand tools.
  • worked closely with the site foreman to verify all hazards were completed per the scope of work and was approved by the USACE Quality control supervisor and maintenance supervisors.
  • had to verify all equipment that was delivered on site and properly cleaned prior. once on-site I would coordinate with the USACE supervisors to inspect each piece for cleanliness and to verify that no invasive species were brought in to the work site.
  • worked closely with the site foreman to assist in directing crews for each task that needed to be done.
  • Cleaned and maintained all hand tools, chainsaws, and sharpen blades.
