- Worked closely with physicians, respiratory therapists and other members of the medical team to assess and treat patients with rapidly changing conditions.
- Trained new nurses in proper procedure and technique. Offered support and guidance to recognize changes in patient condition and what to do about these changes.
- Administered medications via oral, IV and intramuscular injections and monitored responses. Recognized when a medication is inappropriate for a patients condition.
- Started IVs and drew blood. Collected other lab specimens such as nasal swabs, wound cultures, urine and fecal samples.

- Documentation - Trained in epic and was a super user for the floor when Trinity switched to epic.
- Served as charge nurse for a floor with 32 patients and 11 staff, at times with a full patient assignment.
- Worked as a preceptor to train new nurses as well as a mentor for new nurses once they are out of training.
