Advanced through four Medical Director positions: Urgent Care (current), Employee Health (current), Eastmont Wellness Center (past), Homeless Health Center (past).

Spent one additional year as Interim Lead Medical Director for Primary Care supervising five Medical Directors. Position later elevated to Associate Chief Medical Office for Primary Care.

Duties:

• Patient care 0.4 FTE, administration 0.6 FTE.
• Managed approximately 30 providers at maximum (direct reports) with 120 staff.
• Currently Director of Urgent Care Clinic serving approximately 100,000 assigned patients with15,000 to 18,000 annual visits.
• Currently Director of Employee Health with a population of over 5000 individuals. Responsible for employee health throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
• Past director of Eastmont Wellness, a large multi-specialty clinic in East Oakland.
• Past director of the Homeless Health Center, providing care to the unhoused.
• Expertise in all aspects of management including productivity, quality assurance, strategic planning, compliance, budgets/finance, labor relations, grievance resolution/service recovery, and professional personnel recruitment.

Mixed in/outpatient practice for a large FQHC serving central and east Oakland.

• Outpatient management of medical/socially complex patients.
• Developed expertise in working with unhoused patients and patients with severe psychiatric co-morbidities. Member of Homeless Supportive Housing Team and embedded in an outpatient psychiatric clinic for high-risk patients.
• Spent approximately 3 years on in-patient service managing geriatric patients. Average census 10-12 patients daily, on-call weekly.

Part of Public Health Director's planning team. Diverse duties including:

• Member CDC Rapid Assessment, Response, and Evaluation Team for HIV/AIDS.
• Member Tuberculosis Advisory Committee.
• Team leader for Alameda County Tobacco Settlement/Prevention Initiative.
• Geographic Information Systems development for public health data.
• Expedited project completion times due to the ability to multitask effectively under tight deadlines
