Rivian
Palo Alto, CA
03.2020 - Current

Working as a part of the Simulation team in Self-Driving group to keep the world adventurous forever.

  • Responsible for verification, validation and testing of Controls software for Self-driving(ADAS) ECUs
  • Supported design and commissioning of NI HIL test systems by interfacing with suppliers to accommodate software V&V of ADAS system
  • Developed test cases and automation test scripts to execute on NI Veristand HIL Test Systems to validate Self-Driving features including ACC, HWA and Rear AEB
  • Established a CI/CD pipeline to demonstrate End-to-End Process Integration and Traceability – utilizing Jama, ECU-TEST & TEST-GUIDE software tools
  • Developed HIL Test Automation Scripts (ECU-TEST/Python) to validate System Level functional safety Requirements for ADAS ECUs
  • Collaborated with cross-functional Systems, function safety and controls team to perform fault injection testing, boundary value testing against technical safety requirements
  • Performed HIL Testing to verify FTTI(Fault tolerant Time Interval) of ADAS features , verified and documented test results, generated test reports and reported software bugs
  • Performed debugging of Test setup Issues which includes analysis of ADAS modules, harnesses, and connections of the HIL test system
  • Defect, failure and root cause analysis to find the reason for the occurrence of failure and work with cross functional development teams to find a fix
  • Performed ECU Diagnostics verification which includes Diagnostic Services, Routines and DTCs.
  • Trained and assisted staff in validation techniques, methods and testing processes.

Systems Engineer

Nexteer Automotive
Auburn Hills, MI
08.2016 - 03.2020

Worked as a part of Research and Development (R&D) group on ADAS features like Automated Parking Assist(APA) and Blind zone Assist(BZA)

  • Designed a test setup to evaluate TI PGA450 and Elmos 524.24 ultrasonic sensor boards for object detection
  • Originated test procedures to benchmark APA and inspect critical case parking scenarios
  • Performed tests and recorded data using dSPACE microautobox to measure LIN protocol latency for parking zone detection and obstacle detection
  • Redesigned two EPS components for BZA : Torque Oscillation & Assist Limit and generated embedded application software
  • Upgraded software application code to implement handshaking between BZA and EPS

Worked on proprietary Electric Power Steering (EPS) for Heavy-duty Truck

  • Gained an understanding of Agile software development process for EPS systems based on ASPICE and ISO 26262
  • Hands-on experience with debugging EPS software using trouble code information on JTAG
  • Proved existing embedded software for a dual controller Rack EPS gear to work with a Class 8 truck
  • Conceptualized a model to convert analog torque signals to digital SENT protocol signals for EPS by rapid prototyping using dSPACE microautobox
  • Collaborated with Client (GM) to diagnose EPS mechanical failures
  • Composed test script to give read and write access to EPS variables to the OEM
