  • Same duties as other 2 Police Agencies that I worked for, along with the following listed below.
  • In charge of creating the Illinois Traffic Safety Book for the department for the last 13 years. The book placed in the top 3 in 10 of those years. Many prizes, plaques, and awards have been won due to this.
  • I was made an Administrative Dispatcher in 2020, where I took on supervisor roles and had more responsibilities than a regular dispatcher.
  • I was placed in charge of creating and running a lot of the programs for the department. Some of these include the annual Bicycle Rodeo, Santa in the Depot, Hop with a Cop, 1st and 4th grade safety programs, Annual Food Drive, Trunk or Treat, Tours at the Department, Basset training program/classes/reports, Saved by the belt awards, Looking beyond the Belt awards, MADD Awards, AAIM Awards, Operation Lifesaver, Homecoming parade detail, Buckle up for Brooklyn campaign, Senior living talks and expo, and etc.
  • I was put in charge of extra job duties, such as the monthly mayor's report, helping with our Facebook page, the holiday schedule for dispatch, the vacation schedule for dispatch, and job duties for dispatchers, the audits for citations, etc.
  • I was put in charge of the ordinance citations, creating summons, creating folders, and all the paperwork for each case, and being the clerk for the hearing.

  • I have been a trainer for dispatch for over 10 years. I have the duty of starting a new dispatcher out and training them for the first half of their training.
