Order and provide STD testing, treatment and counseling.

Provide contraception counseling.

Perform breast health evaluation and counseling.

Order screening, diagnostic tests and appropriate treatment for obstetrical and gynecological patients.

Highly skilled in phlebotomy and interpret lab results.

Experienced telephone triage for obstetrical and gynecological patients.

Referral to other providers or supportive services.

Provide guidance for menopause, wellness and preventative care.

Perform minimally invasive surgical procedures (IUD placement; contraception insertion and removal, endometrial, cervical biopsy )

Non Stress Test monitoring of singleton and multiple gestation.

Provide obstetrical nursing care to high risk antenatal women (gestational diabetes; pre-eclampsia; eclampsia; premature labor; premature rupture of membranes; placenta previa; cervical incompetence; multiple gestation.)

Provide obstetrical nursing care, teaching, and education to low and high risk postpartum women.

Sound, ethical and independent decision-making ability consistent with medical protocols.

Provide direct newborn nursing care, teaching, and education to postpartum women.

Resource Nurse for breastfeeding education and support.

Implement nursing assignments based on evaluation of staffing and patient care.
