I’ve worked as a carpenter part time ever since I was 14 with my older brother and dad, but realized I wanted to weld at delcastle when I went into their shop as a freshman, got a job at Mdavis and was in the oil and gas field going on shutdowns and learning a lot, took a job later on at Choptank excavation as a shop welder right down the street from where I live, here I would get a ton of experience stick welding all structural uphill/ overhead and even a little bit of pipe.
Shop welder for Choptank excavation, welding repairs on old buckets, relining dump truck beds, excavator/ skid steer and any other equipment repairs, trench box repairs, and anything else they needed me to fab up. Worked around 4 other mechanics so when work got slow I would give them a hand with all the equipment.
