Good morning, afternoon, or evening to whoever may be reading this. My name is Dominique Cooper and I’ve been child care professional for 3 years. Before working with children I could have never imagined just how important teachers are to a child’s development. Through these 3 years I’ve been blessed to work with kids from all sorts of backgrounds and privileged enough to become a consistent figure in these children’s lives. This position has allowed me to learn the science behind teaching and how every interaction with a child can lead to a learning experience. - As a childcare professional my responsibilities included documenting the attendance of children in the program. Providing activities/clubs to help children in my care expand their education and social emotional development.
- With having up to 30 kids attending the program it was of upmost importance to make sure each and every child was properly signed in and out of the program.
- Through my 3 yrs of teaching I’ve had the pleasure of taking care of children from various age groups (ages 2 through 12).
- This experience has allowed me to be very adaptable in creating multiple engaging clubs for all age groups
- I’ve held clubs covering sports, sciences, history, hygiene, and teaching young teens about self reflection and improvement.
