I left the Player Services Department in September of 2020 and transferred to the Security Department to work third shift
As a closing officer, we patrolled all areas of the property keeping an eye out for any suspicious or illegal activities; escort money holders from one destination to another; escort patrons or fellow employees out to their car; and mainly enforcing masks with COVID regulations
In November of 2021, I received the promotion to Security Supervisor Lead
In this role, I lead the shift and floor on a daily
I handled hostile/high pressure incidents, patron and employee injuries/illness, manage money movement, and leading the team for the day with responsibilities such as roll call, daily schedules, improvising on spot and making calls, and any conflicts that would arise throughout the shift
I would then turn the shift over to relieving staff and keep them informed on events of the night before and anything they should expect for their coming shift
I worked on Microsoft Office daily, mainly using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
I inspected fire extinguishers monthly; ensured doors are secured; performance documentation for subordinates; performance commendation and discipline; documented incident reports for the Director and any need to know personnel; passed information to other members of leadership
I was responsible for the hiring of third shift security officers; I scheduled and completed new hire orientations; probationary check ins that are documented and sent to HR; and file all paperwork for my shift including training plans, development plans, Discipline and Commendation notes; all legal and sensitive documents that must be filed with HR
I also completed payroll tasks mainly utilizing Paylocity
I gave a notice and separated from the company in order to pursue further career opportunities

I switched to part time upon starting college in the fall
Once I became part time, my position switched to be a Floater
Floating opened my knowledge of all the different age groups (6 weeks- 12 years)
I learned that my strengths are with the with Preschool, Pre-K, and Kindergarteners
I switched back to full time after completing my first year of college
I was the Lead Teacher for the Kindergarten classroom where I taught ages 5-7 years old
I created daily lesson plans to ensure curriculum was met
I assisted in dietary needs following federal and state standards
I monitored transporting vehicles for field trips and school drop off/pick ups for safety
I worked out a two week's notice and separated from employment due to a job opportunity in my respective area of study
