My duties includes completing large and small work orders of totes and drums. Sampling products for QA approval. Identifying the correct tank for each work order. My duties included working with large groups of people in a work environment for long periods of time. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Using scales to weigh different pork cuts (ribs, back ribs, spare ribs, loins, etc.) Dividing according to weight. Placing product inside the propre labeled packaging bag to be vacuum sealed. Placing sealed products inside correctly labeled boxes to be sealed, processed and shipped.
Operating a walker rider (a mechanical mule driver) to load and unload combos or totes with large amounts pork products. Weighing each load for quantity and labeling purpose. Transporting loads from processing floor to shipping area and vice versa when needed.
I also worked as a Box Shop Operator for 1 year at Triumph Foods and my duties included arriving early before official production start up time to prepare packaging boxes and container for production floor. Gluing and sealing boxes. Replacing damage boxes. Operating strap machine. Building combo boxes and placing plastic liners inside correctly for quality assurance. Fast pace working with other workers to make sure boxes were available for the production floor.
As a Reconditioning Butcher my duties included working with QA staff to carefully repair or dispose defective pork products safely using 180 degree water at a sanitation station and the proper PPE and a knife to repair if possible. After full reconditioning process is completed the product is then examined my QA and if passed, placed back on the production line.
