• Maintain, service and install wiring above and below ground, conduit, electric outlets, light fixtures, motors, switchgear, relays, circuit breakers, voltage regulators, transformers, bus work, generators and airfield lighting systems
• Preventative maintenance on motors, switchgear, UPS and inverter units, generators, and airfield lighting systems.
• Construct, install, maintain, repair, test and inspect medium and low voltage electrical equipment in office buildings, shops, airfield operating areas, airport terminals and associated facilities.
• Utilize tools necessary to perform electrical work; read and interpret electrical plans and diagrams
• Energize and de-energize power to equipment for contractor service shutdowns during construction projects
• Perform skilled work on medium voltage 34.5k volts and below in installing, maintaining and repairing electrical and related equipment in electrical switchgear rooms and distribution rooms
• Input data into computer based work order management system (MAXIMO) to track daily work hours
• Electrical demolition and construction of new and remodeled areas. Installation of conduit, boxes, and raceways for IT equipment.
• Work at elevated heights, possess knowledge of various aerial lift equipment, scaffolding and safety equipment associated with aerial work.

Assisted skilled journey-level electricians by performing a variety of duties involved in the construction, installation, maintenance and/or repair of electrical systems, facilities, and equipment. Wiring ballasts, switches and receptacles; bending conduit(EMT, IMC, rigid and Schedule 80), replaced fixtures and transformers on 5KV airfield circuits and worked off of various lifts and ladders. Trouble-shooting circuits, reading schematics and building and street plans. While at Ontario also served as airfield electrician when journeyman electrician was not available.
