Summary

I started in construction after colledge with Colich and Sones Construction. I worked my way up from a yard kid delivering material to a construction site to running constructions crews. When I left Colich in 1990 I was their Project Superintendent for the North part of LA County. I ran construction crews for public and private clients including road work, water and sewer install as well as pipe lining. I move to Las Vegas in 1990 and worked for several construction companies including TAB Contractors. I worked as a project foreman building large construction project including the Bellagio, Fremont Experience and several 36"-42" steel water mains. At one point prior to joining LVVWD I owned my own underground construction company called Vegas Underground. I joined the LVVWD Inspection team in July 2001.

Engineering Plans Examiner

I worked at LVVWD for the past 23 years. I started out in inspections on the developer side. My responsibilities were to insure the construction and install of LVVWD facilities were done in accordance with the plans and specifications. I worked and coordinated with the developer, contractor and engineer on the projects from start to completion. Some of the projects I was evolved with was Cesar's Palace Convention Center, CCPW Harmon 36" Main realignment, and Sky Canyon Master development including a 5 Million Gallon above ground storage tank. In 2016 I moved from inspections to Engineering Plans Examiner. I was responsible to review detail preliminary drawings from engineering firms for acceptance with LVVWD for construction. These projects ranged from small commercial projects, developer residential subdivisions, and master planned communities. I was responsible for the large diameter main replacements as well as retrofits. Some of the projects included Sunstone Master development, Formula 1 Racetrack, The Linq, and three of the CCPW Las Vegas Boulevard 36" and 24" main replacements, as well as NDOT I-15 Tropicana Freeway.
