Participated as CP engineer for acquisition of system wide cathodic protection and dynamic stray current testing. Responsibilities included review of contract documents, preparation of scope of work, and materials/services cost analysis.
Participated as field engineer responsible for cathodic protection acquisition, coordination, and performance of testing of utility pipelines in immediate vicinity, as well as track-to-earth and rail-to-rail resistance measurements. Coordinated and conducted a dynamic stray current study on all major track lines comprising this system, including embedded and underground tunnel track segments. Also conducted preliminary engineering for the I-90 floating pontoon bridge in preparation for the East Link light rail installation.
Participated as both QA/QC oversight as well as Field Engineer responsible for preliminary engineering of stray current baseline studies, soil resistivity, data collection of resistance/continuity values in piping and structural elements, cathodic protection installation and testing of relocated utilities, data verification, and issuance of final reports. Project consists of six new system miles.
Participated as field engineer responsible for data collection of existing cathodic protection systems and dynamic stray current studies. Conducted numerous earth potential gradient surveys in effort to locate problematic areas relating to pour track to earth resistances and further successfully pinpointed areas of interest pertaining to negative rail current leakage via current mapping and location equipment.
Field engineer responsible for preliminary engineering via the collection of soil resistivity data, and baseline stray current studies on subject piping in immediate vicinity. Also, responsible for data analysis of preliminary engineering data, and issuance of final report.
Field engineer responsible for the measurement of cathodic protection installations, electrical continuity of track slab reinforcing steel, initial track-to-earth resistance of approximately 36 track miles of embedded track, rail-to-rail resistance measurements, and bathtub track-to-earth resistance measurements. This project includes contracts with all prime line section contractors for the entirely new Light Rail Transit system.
Field engineer responsible for coordinating, performing testing, and preparing data analysis and report preparation for Light Rail and Heavy Rail (Metro) track-to-earth resistance and contact rail resistance. This project includes approximately 30 track miles each of Light Rail and Heavy Rail transit system.
Project engineer responsible for conducting numerous stray current tests on track slab stray current spans, bridge test stations, and utility test stations for 6 miles of embedded LRT system and 1.5 miles of ballasted LRT system. Testing included stray current correlations, resistance measurement of stray current spans, structure resistance measurements, cathodic protection parameter measurements, and documentation of additional test station locations.
Field engineer responsible for performing stray current measurements along the length of the Initial Operating Segment associated with this Light Rail Transit System. Duties included stray current measurement, analysis and documentation, and preparation of the report.
I've been taught from a very early age from my grandfather about woodworking. I'm now teaching my youngest daughter. I own a full woodworking shop with details and extremities that one could have. I own a 100 year old house on four acres that could be more proud of, however as you can expect that comes with much work. I have rebuilt about 80% so far, obviously starting with the inside first. I recently built a "mother in-law" suite for my own mother (70 y/o) that needed to be closer to people that could take care of her. I enjoy the building, the mathematics, and time spent with daughter to do projects like this.
