I went to high school in Michigan. And upon graduation moved to Chicago to study painting at the Chicago Academy of Fine Art. Chicago was the perfect place to be for me at that time, and the men and women in Chicago "dressed"! Once I found my stride at the Ralph Lauren/Polo shops , I was allowed to develop new things to make our teams stronger. One instance was the development of personalized Clientele books for each team member. It was a formal way to have everybody on board with taking personalized service to a new level.
My years operating Cutter Art Glass in Royal Oak taught me new levels of working with customers.
I have a daughter and a son that live nearby, and I am extremely proud of them.
I live in Pontiac MI, with my dog Cookie, and am restoring my home, a 1910 American Four Square, with a Craftsman interior.
Started in a sales capacity, and was offered a management position after being the top performer at the Polo/Ralph Lauren store on Mich Avenue, for 2 years. Managed the Robert Vance store in Water Tower Place, and would walk perspective Polo customers across the street for five figure sales. Relocated to Fort Lauderdale FL to manage the Polo Shop in the Galleria. With my leadership, sales training for the team, and the support of upper management in Chicago was able to bring the store into the black for the first time in several years. We did not sell mens clothing at this location, but developed it with the help of Ralph Lauren (Corporate), advancing us a half a dozen lots of mens clothing to much success.
