I joined Hutong NYC as my first civilian job, leaving active duty military. I began bussing tables, soon becoming a Head Food runner, expediting and delivering dishes to tables with seamless explanations of ingredients and allergy awareness. I later switched positions, moving towards the bar, assisting with prep setup, gaining some classic cocktail experience, and waiting tables in the lounge.
