  • Construction of a wastewater treatment and bio-gas generation facility at the Tate & Lyle, Citric Acid plant, located in Dayton, Ohio
  • Manage Tate & Lyle Contractor Safety Program, with 7 different contractors employing approximately 125 workers on site
  • Over 100,000 man-hours worked without incident
  • Project included several high-risk activities such as, multiple tandem crane lifts, on site tank construction and setting of structural steel for pipe supports in proximity of occupied spaces of facility
  • The installation of approximately 15 miles of piping of various size, in overhead rack system
  • Permitting of daily work activities, JHA/JRA development and review, issued all Hot Work, Confined Space and Lock Out/ Tag Out permits

  • This project had an accelerated completion date of 8 months
  • The project completed on time and on budget with approximately 185,000 man-hours worked without incident related to the construction management group
  • Accountable for the contractor safety program that supported roughly 1500 personnel orientated to the site through multiple prime contractors
  • Responsible for the Site health and Safety program for the demolition and renovation of the existing 1.3 million square foot facility, the demolition of 5 warehouse structures and 4 connecting bridges, 25 acres of tarmac
  • Constructed 25 recessed loading docks, upgraded the storm water and sanitary sewer systems, underground utilities, parking lots, office spaces, locker rooms, cafeterias, and a new operations control center
  • Project liaison between construction management group, owner’s representative and all contractors and sub-contractors
  • HGC Construction representative for the purpose of regulatory compliance, as well as OSHA VPP re- certification
