Occupational Health Field Technician

  • Began working for Mobile Health Diagnostics (MHD) as a part-time occupational health field technician in April 2024. Travel to client sites and conduct training and perform on-site occupational health, safety, and industrial hygiene services. Services include audiometric testing, noise level surveys, respirator fit testing, and pulmonary function testing.
  • Work directly with site and plant managers to schedule and coordinate the work that needs to be performed.
  • Conduct work at a variety of industrial sites and manufacturing plants including federal government contractors. The work environments vary greatly. Many of them feature a fast-paced work environment that involve heavy machinery, raw materials, and strict safety protocols. The environments include loud noise, temperature variations, and the need for personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Audiometric Testing – Completed over 1,000 hearing tests. The tests were conducted in a quiet environment provided by the customer. The testing kit consists of an iPad, headphones, and room scan microphone. We utilize the SHOBOX PureTest app on the iPad to conduct hearing tests.
  • Noise Level Surveys – Conducted over 15 noise level surveys. Experience using TSI Quest Edge 5 and 8 personal noise dosimeters and TSI Quest SoundPro sound level meters. Use TSI Quest Detection Management Software to manage the devices and generate reports.
  • Respirator Fit Testing – Conducted over 300 quantitative fit tests evenly distributed across N-95, half-face, and full-face respirators. Completed approximately 50 qualitative fit tests mostly on half- and full-face respirators. Experience using the TSI PortaCount respirator fit tester 8038/8048 and TSI FitPro Ultra software to conduct quantitative testing. Experience using MSA fit test kits to conduct qualitative testing.
  • Pulmonary Function Testing – Conducted about a dozen pulmonary function tests. Experience using Minispir digital spirometers and an online tool provided by Vest Medical Services.
  • Experience setting up and calibrating all of the equipment that I utilize. Responsible for maintaining equipment that is in my possession. Finalize schedules and coordinate with customers a week before each job. Complete rosters, sign-in sheets, reports, logs, and other paperwork within 24 hours of finishing a job. Use various phone apps and computer software to work orders, hours worked, and travel. Work from a home office when not on business travel.

  • Worked for Paragon Systems in Jacksonville, Florida, as an instructor and training program manager. Trained armed security officers across the state of Florida and other areas as necessary.

  • This was a very fast-paced and dynamic job with a lot of moving parts. It required a lot of pre-planning and coordination to accomplish the mission.
  • Used a learning management system and Microsoft Excel spreadsheets to track security training certifications and training requirements of over 200 officers. Maintained training records.
  • Planned, scheduled, and delivered new hire, refresher, and recertification training to the security officers in accordance with contract and state licensing requirements. Ensured all training documentation was completed correctly and submitted to the corporate office within tight time constraints.
  • The position required frequent travel across the state of Florida. Worked from a home office when I was not traveling. Made frequent trips to federal facilities and training sites in Pensacola, Tallahassee, Clearwater/Tampa, Orlando, and Jacksonville. Planned and coordinated all job-related travel in accordance with Paragon’s travel policy. Used a company travel card for all work-related travel. Used a smartphone app to track all work-related expenses and to file travel vouchers.
  • Developed a safety and security assessment process and report template that is used for houses of worship. The assessment covers criminal and natural threats, and safety hazards.

  • Worked from a home office in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Traveled to federal courthouses and training sites across a 6-state area of responsibility. Visited each federal courthouse in the 10th Circuit once every quarter to inspect the court security officers and the security posts. My territory included Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Utah, and Wyoming. Planned and coordinated all travel in accordance with Paragon’s travel policy. Met with and conducted meeting with various members of the U.S. Marshals Services including Judicial Security Inspectors, Supervisory Deputy Marshals, and Chief Deputy Marshals. Accomplishments
