Jun 2013 - Jun 2017 A leader in traffic safety programs.
- Partnered with law enforcement agencies throughout North Carolina to deliver life saving traffic safety campaigns and programs.
- Led the agency to the top in America with the help of the GHSP Staff, NCDOT support, and partners throughout the Great State of North Carolina. It was a pleasure to serve under the leadership of Governor Pat McCrory, Secretary Tony Tata, and Secretary Nick Tennyson.
- Served on the Governors' Highway Safety Association (GHSA) Board, serving as the Region 3 Representative. I served on the AASHTO Standing Committee for Highway Safety, the Board of North Carolina Operation Lifesaver, the Driver Education Advisory Committee, and was appointed in 2013 by Governor Pat McCrory to the Governor's Impaired Driving Task Force.
- Routinely presented at national meetings and conferences, served on planning committees, and sought to put North Carolina in the spotlight concerning traffic safety. I have considerable experience dealing with media interviews.
- Led the premier highway safety office in the United States of America. Initiated North Carolina as a leader in traffic safety programs.

- Oversaw and led a staff of highway safety professionals that administer approximately $12 million annually. Our agency worked closely with state and local law enforcement to deliver programs such as "Click It or Ticket" and "Booze It & Lose It" drawing public awareness to these traffic safety efforts and increasing the enforcement of traffic safety laws.
- Worked closely with federal agencies to assure proper oversight was in place to adhere to federal and state guidelines pertaining to federal highway safety dollars.
- Worked closely with law enforcement agencies statewide to cultivate relationships and provide training, programs, and equipment necessary for personnel to most effectively conduct vital traffic safety activities.
- Established an incentive program for law enforcement that recognizes their agency efforts in traffic safety and rewards them for their performance and achievements.
- Served as a spokesperson to a variety of groups and the media concerning traffic safety issues and campaigns in North Carolina.

- Conducted a reorganization that placed more emphasis on required grant oversight in response to a state and federal audit.
- Established a network of regional law enforcement liaisons (RLELs)that helps GHSP deliver traffic safety programs throughout North Carolina. The 11 RLELs communicate directly with the 100 County Coordinators. This network provides great feedback to GHSP concerning problems, programs, and needs of law enforcement in addressing traffic safety issues.
- Monitored office workflow and administrative processes to keep operations running smoothly.
- Spearheaded innovative approaches to resource allocation and strategic planning for Booze It and Lose It/Click it or Ticket safety campaigns.
