Launched the grand opening of the Inaugural Community Day for the new uptown location. This community day attracted over 2000 visitors and involved 80 UNCC departments, + over 100 local artists, musicians and performers.
Established a soccer match between UNCC Soccer team and the Urban Ministries Gold metal soccer team. on the back lawn of Center City building. this also included a art auction of art on soccer balls from local high end visual artists. this auction raised over 2,000.00 then donated back to Urban Ministries art and athletic programming. Food trucks were also on site to feed the hungry spectators.
As Community Outreach specialist, I established a holiday 'Potluck' with our Neighbors at Urban Ministries. UNCC faculty and staff provided food to our guests and both choirs where invited to perform throughout the day.
