• Prepare the Supplemental Notes to the financials
• Provide the Capital information for the budget and state document.
• Assist various municipal auditors on their overlapping debt.
• Prepared various month and annual journal entries and reconciliations.
• Reviewed general ledger accounts for discrepancies and resolved variances.
• Completed year-end closing processes with general ledger comptroller and external auditors.
• Provide guidance to new staff members.
• Reduce financial discrepancies, through investigations and resolutions of any account balance variance.
• Provide needed documentation to the external auditors, to aid them in the audit completion.
• Create internal controls to reduce risks and improve financial accuracy across operations.
• Verify all current year debt payments have been posted to our general ledger system.

• Responsible for the oversight and preparation of all accounting and accounting related activities for NJRES.
• Preparation of derivative accounting entries for NJNE, NJNG and NJR Energy.
• Review / prepare all monthly reconciliations with brokers.
• Verify daily confirmations of derivative transactions with broker, including daily cash settlement of margin.
• Prepare all reconciliations surrounding Accounts Payable, Intercompany Payables, Accounts Receivable, Gas in Storage, Sales Margin, Fair Value of Derivatives, Payroll, Collateral, Deferred Liabilities, Incentive and other accruals.

• Review the daily and monthly work associated with five hedge funds. Review includes data reconciliations, TB’s, profit and loss, exception reporting and financial statements.
• Supervision of a staff of eight fund accountants.
• Ensure that all relevant policies and controls are adhered to on a daily basis.
• Work with auditors to assist them in the completion of their annual review.
• Report fund estimates on a company wide basis.
