*As department head I am responsible for all the looks created that is seen on film. This includes reading scripts to get to know the characters as well as be in contact with the director to be sure I bring his/her vision to life.

*I am responsible to making sure I have all supplies needed to carry out the filming process. This includes managing approximately $15,000 in supplies and equipment. From tables and chairs to hair pins and Advil.

* I need to keep strict records for continuity through detailed notes and photographs to be sure the looks match since we film out of order.

*I am with our actors/actresses all day maintaining the hair and makeup throughout the shoot. Looking for small details such as tiny hairs out of place. I am also very attentive to their needs as I become their go to person for whatever they may need.

*I am responsible for keeping in contact with whoever is making the schedules, letting them know the time I need to get people ready. Time management is crucial in my department because filming can’t start until our actors/actresses are ready and on set.

*Flexibility is key in the film world, things change constantly, therefore, I am very adaptable. Also, many times we have 5, 6, 7 actors/actresses that I am maintaining the looks of, so being able to take care of several people at a time is a necessity.

*I have trained several people on how to be a make-up/hair assistant for film.

* As a MAC freelance artist I was responsible for helping customers find, and for selling them make-up that suited them.

*I was responsible to do makeovers on our customers while showing them how wonderful MAC products are.

*When we did not have customers I cleaned and organized our inventory, as well as keep our counters cleaned and organized

*I handled ringing up our customer's orders, taking care of returns, and placed orders for customers to be shipped to their homes.
