  • I grew up caring for animals, we raised chickens, a beef cow or two. My brother raised pigs. We camped, my dad was a hunter and had a hunting camp which we enjoyed growing up. My husband and I lived in Wyoming for 3 year, then lived in VA for several months. We have 2 daughter, my husband came from a large family, I helped to take care of the grandparents as the grew older. My children also helped and leaned to work with the elderly. My husband aunt wanted to open a personal care home for her parents to have them at home. So I helped her from beginning to closing. I was the administrator of the home. When we closed the Personal care home. i went to work with Allegheny Lutheran Social Ministries as a in home care giver enjoyed it very much I love working with the elderly. I worked in the Nursing home in the skilled and Alzheimer's units. Five year later I transferred to Personal care Unit, where I also worked the both in Personal care and the Alzheimer's units. I worked in Activities is the Personal care Alzheimer's unit until I retired in 2021. Since then I have been doing private duty of different clients. my husband, daughter and myself also do crafts and sell at craft shows, through out the summer. I am also involved in our church activites.
