Summary

I currently work as an ORC in the Residential Rehabilitation Unit (RRU) at Five Points CF, where my skills developing materials for groups and working with incarcerated individuals to modify behaviors in order to successfully reintegrate into general population and, eventually, civilian life have helped me to grow as a facilitator and as a worthy member of the team in the RRU. The knowledge of the unique needs of this particular population of incarcerated individuals has helped me to see the value in maintaining an even temperament, utilizing discretion, continuing to model good communication skills both verbally and in writing, and the importance of time management to stay on top of my assigned workload. I am looking forward to collaborating with staff to help them achieve a sense of job fulfillment and professional expertise, as well as building a cohesive team that will be an asset to administration at the prison.
