- Implement procedures and coordinate the process to identify EB students at all grade levels campus-wide, including review of student data to monitor any decline in mastery due to linguistic regression, academic slides, as well as any possible instructional accommodation negligence due to lack of awareness of the needs of EB learners
- Train, coach, and support teachers in developing and implementing lesson plans that meet TEA’s curricular requirements (TEKS and ELPS) and linguistically accommodate and differentiate instruction and assessments based on each EB’s needs
- Maintain and completes all EL documentation in a timely manner, and that all records are kept confidential in accordance with Texas Education Agency guidelines, state, federal laws (FERPA) ESL classroom(s) and/or instructional environment is safe, organized and conducive to learning, with accessibility to all students.
- Upon initial enrollment LPAC reviews all pertinent information on EB students, including the Home Language Survey, the language proficiency tests, each student's achievement in content areas, and designate the language proficiency level and the level of academic achievement of each EB.
