Instrumental in the standardization of nursing documentation throughout the health system

Prior to becoming fully electronic, Baycare needed to standardize documentation among all of the hospitals within Baycare. A group of 5 Nurse Managers and Directors met monthly to standardize all nursing documentation. Once that was completed, we worked with Cerner to successfully implement that nursing documentation in an electronic format. During the development of the documentation standards, I involved bedside nursing, as well as other disciplines to assure that their voices were heard and often utilized in the development of the documentation.
